Welcome to Fraser’s Hill Community Library

Frasers Hill Community Library is more than just a library: in addition to a current holding of over 5000 books, journals, and magazines, users have access to a wide range of board games, DVDs, audio books, computers to surf the web, word process, check emails, and can also participate in the many community events, programmes and activities sponsored and organized by the Library committee. It is a free public library serving the small community of Frasers Hill residents and the wider community of visitors from other parts of Malaysia and from overseas. There is no charge for access to almost all of our facilities, with a small number of exceptions such as membership and borrowing fees, copying and printing services. We are an independent information and resource centre run by volunteers and entirely dependent on charitable donations (financial and in kind) from well-wishers.

About The Library

The Mission of the Fraser’s Hill Community Library is to contribute to the quality of life of the community in Fraser's Hill by offering a welcoming centre for everyone, providing informational and educational resources for the enlightenment of both residents and visitors.

The idea of the library comes from a group of friends, principally Michael and Zubaidah, who wanted to find a way of giving back to society. They have been working and contributing skills, knowledge and effort to realize the idea since 2010. A committee was formed and the project was proposed to the Fraser’s Hill Development Board (PKBF) in late 2010. In 2014, the present location was offered.
